Why aren't we doing Vincent? Surely he'd already be in the timeline? I have a friend who would love to apply for vincent...

As we have seen in Crisis Core, and later in the original FFVII, Vincent is asleep for most of our timeline, up until the point that Cloud finds him underneath Shinra Mansion.

When did the stuff before that occur? That was before Crisis Core, wasn't it?

Yes, the events involving Turk!Vincent and the whole Lucretia/Hojo ordeal took place 20-30 years before the start of FFVII. Our game is only set 7 years prior, as is Crisis Core.

As far as I know of Kitty's methods, when she puts "pending" she actually means that in reference to the player's journal post-- as in, we haven't been informed of their in character journal yet.

I'm fairly certain that's what it means, but I'll be sure to ask her to confirm.

erm, I am an experienced player looking for a new game. I stumbled across this place and noticed that Aerith is crossed out. Do you all currently have an Aerith? Otherwise I'd be glad to fill out an app....... if I'd be stepping on someone's toes, then nevermind, I'd find someone else! I figured I'd ask first, though, as she'd be my preference.

Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but if a character is pending, does that mean you're not accepting applications for him? Wasn't sure if it was indicative of a hold up on the end of the group or the applicant or what.

Pending means that we have approved an application for the character, but they have not yet made their character journal and joined the game.

A pending character has usually a few days to join the game before the status reverts to applicable.

Hey guys, it's Teef. I've sent in an application for Cissnei because poor Teef is getting very lonely away in Nibelhiem and i was thinking i should pick up a character in ShinRa :D:D

I am VERY tempted to join this RP, but I don't know where I'd start. But, perhaps the best place to start would be with a question. If we had a character hailing from Costa del Sol as their home town, would it be acceptable to have a bit of Spanish filter in through his/her role? Since Costa del Sol is "Coast of the Sun" in Spanish, it would be presumed that they would have some sort of Spanish influence, in appearance and in native tongue. At least that's my logic.

Why? I dunno.. I thought it would be different and make a character more memorable. Especially an OC that would fall into the ShinRa scientist/personnel catagory.

A couple of questions.

The stupid one: Are you actually lacking a Rufus? I keep staring at the taken character list in disbelief.

The less stupid one: How does Rude fall into the scheme of "major canon character" or not? I ask because my first choice of character would be Rufus, but I also saw you are "desperately seeking" a Rude and I do play him elsewhere. I am just not sure how legitimate apping both would be. I'm also wavering on whether or not they are too related for one person to play both. I could rationalize that argument in either direction.

At this point, I would say that Rufus would count as a major Canon Char, only because of his position and the fact that pretty early on he gets his hands dirty in plot. Rude is a line-riding major/minor. Mostly minor, I would think, because he is not really a major influence on anything.

Yes, we are lacking both. However, we advise apping one at a time, esp if you are taking a major CC.
